How art commissions work?

Art Commissions: A Straightforward and Collaborative Process

Art commissions are straightforward. You see a piece you like, and you want a work created through a similar artistic approach or service. A commissioned artwork begins with interest, questions, and a shared understanding of what you want.

When you commission an artist, you should feel free to ask whatever you need to know. The process works best when it is open and clear. For me, meeting the commissioner’s needs is not only important, but also stimulating and inspiring. A commission is never just a transaction: it is a creative exchange that leaves something with both the client and the artist.

When you look at my work, ask yourself not only whether you like it or whether you would like to be portrayed, but also what else I could create from the visual language you already see. Would you like to see yourself in a different way? Would you like a piece that interprets something personal, emotional, or memorable?

Every art commission is a meeting between a unique request, a unique piece, and a unique moment in time. That is where we meet. Starting from your idea, I will ask questions about why you want the work, what you want it to express, and what matters most to you in the final result.

During the commission process, and depending on your pace, I can check in with you at different stages so you can see whether the work is reflecting your ideas. The final artwork is built through both sides of the process: your vision and my interpretation.

This is what makes custom art commissions meaningful. The result is not only a finished piece, but a shared process of looking, responding, and creating something personal and unrepeatable.
